COMMODORE’S CORNER

EORC’s annual banquet was held on January 18th at the Elk’s Lodge in Riverhead. Everyone had a great time. There was plenty of excellent food and Chinese auction prizes. Thank you to everyone who helped out and came from far away to attend our banquet.

Don’t forget our next meeting will be on February 20th at the Blue Point Recreation Center. It’s that time again to start thinking about the upcoming racing season. There are many things on the agenda for February’s meeting. We have been discussing becoming an AOF club for a couple of years now. It’s time we made a decision.

There are several potential new racing members; we NEED to find equipment for them. We will also start looking toward this year’s racing schedule. Your input is needed. Please plan to attend our monthly meeting. --Erik Petersen

As usual, the food was great (thank you to everyone who brought goodies to shore); the Chinese auction was a huge success (thank you, again, to all who brought items), and the company was exceptional. Great job, Carol!
Our new T-shirt also made its debut at the banquet, and I am happy to report that sales were brisk. If anyone did not get a chance to buy a T-shirt at the banquet, I will be bringing some to the meetings and all races so it’s not too late.

Club T-Shirts

We have received our new t-shirts, and they look great. If you did not get yours yet, call Pam Young at 631-722-3160. They will be available at club meetings as well as at races. They sell for $10 each. We currently have Large and Extra Large available.
