Structure
"A"
RUNABOUT

Runabouts are flat bottom boats that skim
along the waters surface. "A" runabouts use 15 hp Evinrude or
Johnson Engines. Boats must weigh 250 lbs. or more including driver and engine.
Minimum boat length is 10'. Minimum age is 14. Top speeds are in the 50 mph range.
Excellent starter class for the light driver.
"C"
RUNABOUT

"C" Runabout are of
the same design as the "A" runabouts but must be at least 11' long and
weigh 475 lbs. This
class utilizes the Japanese Yamato 102 & 302 engines producing about 30hp. Minimum age for
this class is 16. Top speed is around 60 mph. Best suited for the medium
to heavy driver.
"A" HYDROPLANE

Hydroplanes are designed to ride on a
cushion of air. The air is trapped under the boat lifting it out of the
water often times only the propeller is in the water. "A"
Hydroplanes must measure 9.5' long with a minimum weight of 345
lbs. This class uses 15 hp Evinrude or Johnson engines. Minimum age is 14
years old. Top speed is around 52 mph. This is an excellent starter class
for the light driver, young and old.
"C"
HYDROPLANE

The "C" Hydroplanes have the same
design as "A" Hydroplanes but measure at least 11'6" and
have a minimum
weight of 440 lbs. The "C" Hydro's also utilize the Yamato 102
& 302 engines. Minimum age is 16 years old. Top speed is around 66 mph. A
cost effective class best suited to the medium weight driver.
